Our daughter, Logan, struggled with sleep at a very early age. Around 4.5 months she was sleeping through the night some nights, but waking very early and not napping well at all. If she took a 25-30 minute nap me and my husband would get excited, but our daughter seemed to be sleepy ALL the time.
At 6 months of age, she rarely slept through the night and was napping even less. We read every book, blog, article, mommy forum etc trying to get help and do whatever we could to help our baby get some sleep. As soon as we got connected with Natalie some of my anxiety was eased simply by completing her very thorough questionaire. She asked us questions no ‘expert’ had addressed in all the places we read for help. During my phone call with Natalie she asked more questions in order to come up with a plan that worked for Logan AND we felt comfortable using and sticking to.
The first day was very difficult and Logan napped a little over 30 minutes the entire day. We learned from Natalie we were putting her to bed too late, and switched to an earlier bedtime the first night on our sleep plan. it worked! Logan sleot until 6:15. It was the latest she had slept, EVER! Most importantly, she woke up happy. In all previous mornings her eyes seemed to open along with crying and fussing.
My husband and I were very pleased to have a happy, smiling baby first thing in the morning. On the second day, I had to wake her up from her first nap (it was part of our plan) after she slept 90 minutes! We were already seeing improvement! Logan goes to daycare Monday-Friday, and we told the providers her new sleeping schedule. Natalie was very prompt when responding to daily questions about what her bed time should be based on how naps were at day care. Our bed time routine became something my husband and I looked forward to becuase Logan was not so completely exhausted she cried while getting her dressed for bed. It was so nice to literally feel the anxiety lessen as each evening got better and better and Logan was happy.
Natalie worked with our family for two weeks, and in those two weeks we have seen our daughter’s demeanor and mood change more than we ever imagined. She rarely cries or fusses, wakes up from naps and bedtimes happy and does not fuss as soon as she is laid in her crib. The improvement is wonderful and we can’t thank Natalie enough for providing us with a plan and constant support to help our daughter become a great sleeper. Our home environment is much lighter and postive as none of us dread or fear a sad, crying filled sleep time with our daughter. If you need sleep help for your little one, Natalie is definitely the person for your family”.
